Part of its charge has been the successful development of an educational scholarship for youth named for two of our members, Dr. The Initiation Program is a time of learning for the Initiate, as well as an opportunity to gather information about what each Initiate may contribute as part of the Chapter once a Member. The Alpha Sigma Boulé Foundation is a 501(c)(3) entity. The primary purpose of the Initiation Program is to prepare Initiates for active membership in Phi Sigma Pi. The men of Alpha Sigma Boulé continue in the tradition of the founders. Their purpose was to "bind men of like qualities, tastes and attainments" who could improve the social condition of folks of African descent in American society. Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (The Boulé) was formed by African American men of accomplishment. In 1904, the oldest Greek letter organization was formed in Philadelphia. ![]()
